Why does Broadway support the creative industries?
It's a cinema, isn't it?
Well, yes, it is a cinema, but it is a different kind of cinema. People
have always congregated at Broadway for a whole host of reasons and
we are proud of the fact that it is part of the cultural life of Nottingham.
Supporting public creativity, whether that is for business or for
wider cultural reasons, is what Broadway has always been about. We
are proud to be part of the process whereby creative people contribute
to the culture of our city. It is this that has helped make Broadway
what it is today. So supporting creative industries kind of comes
naturally to us.
Our most recent responses have been to consolidate and grow what we,
you, us...the creative economy, have been informally doing together
for a long time now.
We are looking forward to the future; to broadening the range of creative
businesses that come to Broadway, and working with new generations
of creative people so that we can continue to grow the creative industries
culture of our city.
