The History of Nottingham Through Film

As part of our 35th Anniversary, join us for a unique and fascinating journey through the history of Nottingham through film. Nottingham has been a thriving settlement for over 1000 years, when it first emerged in the Anglo-Saxon times. This land has played host to Viking armies, Norman lords, brave outlaws, Royal rebellions, industrial upheaval, a Victorian factory boom and German bombers. We've sheltered in caves, cheered our footballers on in Europe and produced some of the most exciting filmmaking talent in the country.

Using exciting footage from classic feature films, interviews and clips from powerful documentaries and stunning old movie reels , come along with us and journey through the incredible adventure that has been the history of our wonderful city…

Please note, this course takes place over two sessions.
