Directed by Jacques Audiard (Rust and Bone, A Prophet) and adapted from The New Yorker cartoonist Adrian Tomine’s collection of graphic short stories Killing and Dying, this film revolves around the intertwined lives of four young Parisians.
Audiard co-wrote the adaptation with Céline Sciamma (Portrait of a Lady on Fire) and Léa Mysius (Ava), transposing the film to France against the backdrop of the brutalist housing towers of the 13th arrondissement, generally known as the Chinatown of Paris.
