One rainy day, a temple's chief priest finds a kitten crying inside a cardboard box. He names the cat Anzu and raises it with care. 30 years pass, and Anzu turns into a creature that speaks human language and lives like a human. Anzu, now 37 years old, travels around on a moped and works part-time as a masseuse. One day, the head priest's son returns to the temple with his 11-year-old daughter Karin and Anzu the cat reluctantly accepts his request to look after the young girl.
