Join fellow film enthusiasts to watch and talk about films in Broadway’s popular, interactive Talk Cinema course. You’ll watch a specially selected film from our cinema programme at your convenience once a fortnight, then meet with the group on alternate weeks for an in-depth discussion of the previous week's film. Our course tutor, Andrew Graves, will moderate the sessions and provide additional insights and analysis.

The fortnightly films (5 in total) will be specially chosen from Broadway’s film programme by our course tutor, who will aim to make varied selections to encourage discussion and possibly broaden your film-watching habits too.

You’ll be sent details about the introductory meeting before the first screening in Week 1 after you sign up. Once the film to be discussed is announced on the noticeboard, you can go online (or reserve your ticket at the Box Office) and choose whichever date and screening time suits you best to watch the film in advance of the next discussion session. The group then meets in person every fortnight to discuss the film you’ve watched.

Discussion session dates are as follows (films to be watched at your convenience prior to each session):

Thu 8 May – Introductory meeting (with Film 1 TBC)

Thu 15 May – Discussion session for Film 1

Thu 29 May – Discussion session for Film 2

Thu 12 June – Discussion session for Film 3

Thu 26 June – Discussion session for Film 4

Thu 10 July – Discussion session for Film 5

We want as many people to enjoy Talk Cinema as possible so each term, you may attend either the Afternoon or the Evening Course, but not both.
