BFI Film Academy 2023-24 Showcase Celebration + Q&A

Broadway’s BFI Film Academy exclusive showcase is back and proud to present the two short films made by our recent 2023-24 cohort of aspiring filmmakers!

Twenty successful applicants, aged 16-19, from across the East Midlands were accepted onto the competitive and reimagined BFI Film Academy Short Course programme which took place over 13 days during the October 2023 half-term.

The prestigious programme introduced and developed the participants to theoretical and practical filmmaking skills through hands-on masterclasses and training, led by highly recognised industry professionals working full-time across various roles in Film + TV.

Participants applied their newfound knowledge and skills into action by creating a short film as part of a smaller production team, with emerging acting talent from Nottingham’s BAFTA-winning, The Television Workshop.

Tickets are £5. All proceeds will go towards the development of Broadway’s BFI Film Academy Short Course Programme.
