Initially banned on release, Flowered Up’s original acid house film Weekender has gone on to become a cult classic, selected by the BFI as one of the most innovative music films ever made. A pioneering meditation on the British rave scene, the original film is re-evaluated via Chloé Raunet’s fascinating and poignant documentary, I Am Weekender.
I Am Weekender (54m) will screen alongside the original Weekender (19m), followed by a Q&A with director WIZ, Flowered Up’s manager Des Penney, and the doc’s director Chloé Raunet, hosted by film writer Dom Gourlay.
Please note, seating for this screening is unallocated. If you have any access requirements such as wheelchair spaces, please contact our Box Office team at info@broadway.org.uk or 0115 952 6611, who will arrange seat reservations for you for this event.
