A Transform screening exploring and celebrating the theme of Guidance
Tickets for this screening are Pay What You Feel - choose from £2 / £4 / £6 / £8 or £10
Produced by Harry Belafonte, 80s classic Beat Street incorporates the key elements of hip hop. Follow aspiring DJ and MC Kenny, best friend graffiti artist Ramon, and his little brother Lee, a breakdancer whose talent catches the attention of Tracy, a composer working on a dance performance at City College of New York.
One of the first films to depict hip-hop culture, Beat Street marks the 40th anniversary of its release on the big screen, as break dancing hits the Paris Olympics! To celebrate we’ll be hosting a celebratory takeover event across Broadway.
