Malcolm McDowell is back again as Mick Travis, this time as an ambitious coffee salesman out on the road in pursuit of the capitalist dream. His journey quickly descends into an absurd Kafka-esque nightmare of fatalism and bureaucracy, that feels part Bertolt Brecht, part Monty Python. Featuring a brilliant score from Alan Price which underpins the film’s bleak viewpoint, this is a rare opportunity to experience Lindsay Anderson’s epic masterpiece on the big screen.
