Rounding the day out is Kevin Costner as Robin, starring against a superbly sneering Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham. Kevin Reynolds’ take on the legend (which provided much content for the Mel Brooks’ spoof) reinvigorates the story, paying homage to the past while transforming the famous outlaw of Sherwood Forest into a movie icon fit for the 1990s. When Robin returns from the Crusades to find his father dead, he vows revenge.
