The Goldman Case

Based on the real trial of extraordinary activist turned criminal, Pierre Goldman, who was accused of two murders (which he denied) and armed robbery (which he admitted), whose trial gripped and divided France. Meticulous and austere in structure, this dramatisation nevertheless reveals the sheer power of rhetoric as the elusive and mercurial Goldman throws his own trial into chaos, while challenging a society torn apart by racism and injustice.
