Silent with new music by Joanna MacGregor, Joseph Havlat and Neil Brand, recorded live at Alexandra Palace Theatre.

Three newly restored episodes of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, the series sanctioned by Arthur Conan Doyle himself, and so popular it ran for 45 episodes, including A Scandal in Bohemia, wherein Holmes falls for ‘the woman’; The Golden Pince-Nez, which features Homes’ deductive powers at work, and The Final Problem, featuring the sinister Professor Moriarty.

Our screening on Sun 21 Dec will include an 11-minute recorded introduction from BFI Curator of Silent Film Bryony Dixon talking about the Archive project.
