In 2019, Manon Brulard set out on a journey cycling from Brussels to Tokyo, where she met and interviewed inspiring women across the globe.
Over 11 months, she crossed 21 countries and cycled around 13,500km. The result, Women Don’t Cycle, is a film about what it means to be a woman cycling in different countries around the world, and the stories they have to tell. It is also a fascinating experiment in what it takes to make safe, sustainable travel possible for everyone. Women Don’t Cycle defies traditional gender roles and captures the powerful force of women leading the way to fight climate change.
Preceded by three short films:
Bothy (90secs) Sue Barrett & Nic Hobbs
All Bodies on Bikes (13mins) Zeppelin Zeerip
Three Wheel Drive (16mins) Stefan Morrocco
