Nottingham Young Creative Awards Screening

Broadway recently co-sponsored the film category in the Nottingham Young Creative Awards as part of our aims to support vibrant young film talent in the city. We are really pleased to be screening a selection of the entries and winners of both of the Film and Animation & Digital Media categories from this year's awards.

The films were all brilliantly conceived and very different in content; from animated robots picking litter, gender equality, living with cystic fibrosis, music videos, 3D animations, game demos to desktop alien creatures! Many of the entries challenged the things that directly impact young people today - notably so was Rochelle Simpson's winning film in the 16-18 category, a dramatisation about a knife murder in Nottingham, for which the judges praised Rochelle's mature look at a very serious subject and also saw her being chosen as the Young Creative of the Year 2019.
