What's next for our meat-free menu?
Whether you were trying it out as part of a new year’s resolution, sampling a new 2-4-1 pizza before a blockbuster, or making a conscious decision to change your diet for the good of the environment, we want to say thank you to our customers for making our Meat-Free Month such a success in January.
It was a bold move for our Kitchen team to develop a brand new menu that asked them to not only create new, delicious meat-free dishes with the best ingredients available, but also to make sure that our customers came on that culinary journey with us. We’re proud to say that your feedback over the course of January has been extremely positive (even from our regular meat-eaters) and we’ve had one of our busiest months ever in our Café Bar.
By having this Meat-Free Month, we have hopefully offered you the chance to try something new whilst also finding out more about the small changes that can make a big impact
So what’s next? From Monday 3 February, we’ve decided to build on the success of the past month by retaining a number of our new vegan and vegetarian dishes whilst also bringing back a limited number of our old meat favourites. We’ll bring back some of your favourite meaty pizzas such as the Ragin’ Cajun (Cajun Spiced Chicken, Red Onion and BBQ Sauce), but keep those vegan and vegetarian options that have been a hit with customers over January such as the Coming to America (Cumin Roasted Butternut Squash, Feta, Red Onion and Wild Rocket) and the Jumpin’ Jack Flash (Pulled Jackfruit, Red Onions, Vegan Cheeze and BBQ Sauce).
In short, we’ve decided to flip it and have a primarily vegetarian and vegan-friendly menu, with meat options available
In short, we’ve decided to flip it and have a primarily vegetarian and vegan-friendly menu, with meat options available. As always, we’ll still update the specials on a daily basis and we hope you like our continued commitment to providing an exciting and varied menu.
Finally, we recognise our responsibility to the environment, our commitment to sustainability and are aware of the impact the food industry has on these two things. By having this Meat-Free Month, we have hopefully offered you the chance to try something new whilst also finding out more about the small changes that can make a big impact. During 2020 we’ll continue to demonstrate this commitment to the environment by screening more films that consider these challenging issues, by cutting back on our printed output, and by ensuring our capital redevelopment project considers environmental sustainability at every step.
Our new menu will be available from Monday 3 February and our Environmental and Sustainability strategy can be read here.
