Broadway launches annual survey amid closure
We've launched our annual survey into customer habits despite being closed due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
We're keen to discover how customers will adapt to using cinemas and bars once the restrictions on movement are lifted and the doors are open again. Director of Marketing and Communications, Stewart Terry said: “Obviously the closure was essential for the safety of our staff and customers but eventually we’ll be allowed to reopen and when that happens we want to be prepared. People need to feel comfortable when visiting Broadway so it’s important to find out what steps we can take to make sure they’re confident to return.”
"it’s also important to hear from those that didn’t come to Broadway before the closure: why weren’t they coming?"

We're also asking questions about how Broadway is perceived by the wider Nottingham community and are keen to hear from those that haven’t attended the cinema or the bar before to understand their expectations. Stewart Terry added: “We have a great relationship with our audiences and they’re always keen to let us know how we can improve, but it’s also important to hear from those that didn’t come to Broadway before the closure: why weren’t they coming? Is it something we can address quite easily or something deeper – it would be great to discover this.”
"Broadway will be a venue that Nottingham can continue to celebrate for years to come."
CEO, Steve Mapp
This year is Broadway’s 30th anniversary but due to the enforced closure any celebrations have been delayed, as well as the second phase of our planned capital refurbishment, part funded by Arts Council England. CEO Steve Mapp added: “It’s disappointing we can’t complete the improvement works this summer as part of our wider 30th anniversary celebrations, but we have been working with our design team in preparation for creating something special. A bit of patience is now required as we plan to have the work is completed in 2021, when Broadway will be a venue that Nottingham can continue to celebrate for years to come.”
