“All the world's a stage”, they say, and we are merely players. And yet, when it comes to actually stepping on a stage or in front of a camera, there is sometimes the feeling that it is not a job for ordinary mortals. That actors are a peculiar breed (not entirely untrue, to be fair) and, dangerously, that not everyone can do it.

But acting is really nothing more than taking your own experience - your unique experience - and harnessing it to tell stories that make people feel less alone. ANYONE can do that.

This course will help participants – at any level of acting experience – develop the skills and techniques specific to film acting. This will include demonstrations of the differences between theatre and film acting, exercises to develop effective screen presence and tips on understanding the film industry and an actor’s place in it.
