Starring Sebastian Stan as a young Donald Trump and Succession's Jeremy Strong as the influential right-wing lawyer and political fixer Roy Cohn, director Ali Abassi’s (Border, Holy Spider) first English-language film is a dive into the underbelly of the American empire, charting Trump’s ascent to power during the 1980s in New York, through a Faustian deal made with Cohn. This controversial biopic – already making headlines, with a cease-and-desist letter sent to the filmmakers by Trump’s legal team – will hit screens less than a month before the US election.
