BFI Network – Midlands Short Films + Q&A

Discover some of the bold new voices shaping film in the Midlands as part of the BFI NETWORK X Film Academy Industry Day 2026. 

The BFI NETWORK team will be wrapping up the day of talks and workshops with a special screening showcasing a selection of BFI NETWORK-funded short films, created by emerging writers, directors and producers from across the region.

The films screened will reflect some of the most recently completed short films supported by the fund and will give you the chance to be some of the first people to see them on the big screen. 

Following the screening, we will be joined by the Midlands directors behind the films for a discussion and Q&A.
