A decade of skateboarding & retail
Presented as part of Skate Nottingham's 'Skateboarding in the City III' city-wide festival.
In 2015, Nick Warman and Sam Culshaw – two lifelong skaters - decided to combine their intricate knowledge of the skateboarding industry and create their very own skate shop, Supereight, in Nottingham. Stepping away from the wholesale and distribution side of the industry, they placed themselves on the other side of the sales counter, no longer selling products to shops and instead selling to skaters themselves.
With 2025's arrival came the realisation that Supereight has been running for ten years, giving the team an immediate nostalgia trip through the history of the shop, their personal times there, and Nottingham skateboarding.
