Exclusive red carpet anniversary screening!

This screening marks the one-year anniversary of the film, which has been touring international cinemas since November 2024.

The UK's first and only Indian filmmaker and barrister, Nottingham-based Haresh Sood, follows up his acclaimed debut My Niece’s Big Fat Delhi Wedding with his second feature documentary. This time, Haresh turns the lens on himself, exploring the challenges and societal pressures of being an unmarried 47-year-old British Indian male. The film intelligently delves into the taunts, discrimination and cultural expectations he’s faced, while offering a humorous yet poignant critique of the Indian matrimonial system.

Aspiring filmmakers and creatives are invited to book a ticket to experience:

  • A red-carpet VIP photo opportunity
  • A chance to network with local filmmakers
  • The unveiling of a groundbreaking film fund for 2026 from Haresh Sood Films
  • The announcement of an exciting work experience opportunity with Haresh Sood Films
  • The launch of an all-new film course focused on audience development, film law and more for filmmakers

This event is open to all.

Haresh will also perform a short stand-up set, followed by the opportunity for audience questions.

This event is scheduled to finish at approximately 6pm.
