"In a world where we're more connected than ever before, where do we go to (dis)connect?"
(dis)connect explores the tension between constant digital engagement and the quiet pull of disconnecting.
This two-part exhibition is a fast-moving video reel of clips capturing people absorbed in their devices (captured on a device and to be viewed on a device) and framed landscape photographs offering a visual pause - still, open, and quiet.
When viewed together, these works show the complexity of the interactions between humans, digital devices and the environment.
The viewer is challenged to think about how they engage with the world, both digitally and physically, and to think deeply about where they may find solace from technology.
