About Esme Gill-Brown

Viewing clothing as a communicative device, Esme's work strives to convey an important message and a personal journey. Their research focuses on the meaning of dress and the array of information it can suggest about an individual. This feeds into all their work through the use of exciting and technical methods, which convey intricate and meaningful concepts.

After graduating from Nottingham Trent with a degree in Knitwear Design, Esme has continued to be a practising designer and illustrator, exploring their love for sentiment, nostalgia and storytelling through knitwear, fashion and drawing. Esme has years of experience working with a vast array of mediums, including textiles, paint, crayon, collage, and digital art software. Their passion has enabled them to have a very distinctive, considered and professional style of work.

Esme continues to build their portfolio through working for clients, producing custom one-of-a-kind artworks or garments and producing collections to begin growing their own clothing label.
