12pm: Intro from Martin Bencsik - The Little Bees That Can do Big Interactive Workshop

Join scientist Martin Bencsik for a brilliantly hands-on adventure into the world of honeybees. Perfect for curious primary school children who aren't afraid to get involved.

This is no ordinary talk. Martin will throw questions at the group, spark debates, and challenge young minds to think, shout out, and discover together. From the weird and wonderful anatomy of a bee, to the secrets of the queen and the mystery of pollination - there's plenty to explore, and plenty of surprises along the way.

One thing's for certain: this is an hour that won't be forgotten in a hurry.

Suitable for primary school age children.

1pm: The Bee Move

Barry B. Benson, a bee who has just graduated from college, is disillusioned with his sole career choice: making honey. On a special trip outside the hive, Barry's life is saved by Vanessa, a florist in New York City. As their relationship blossoms, he discovers humans actually eat honey and subsequently decides to sue the company.

Part of The Hive: a reflective yet ultimately hopeful day of film, art, and immersive performance at Broadway - exploring the delicate balance between insect and human.
