A horror novelist, always on the lookout for new ideas for her work, receives a letter from a reader about strange sounds heard in their dorm room. With her curiosity piqued, the novelist begins to investigate. Numerous incidents involving past residents come to light and, after a painstaking search with the help of others, she finally uncovers decades of horror associated with the room.
