My Night at Maud's

Éric Rohmer’s classic centres on a devoutly Catholic engineer newly arrived in Clermont-Ferrand. He has decided to marry a woman he spotted at Mass, but encounters a test of faith when he meets Maud, a confident, attractive and intelligent divorcée.
