Presented by the Nottingham Palestine Film Festival 2026 Palestine, 1936. There is growing unrest as several villages become involved in a farmer-led revolt, beginning the largest and longest uprising against Britain’s 30-year rule. Rising numbers of Jewish immigrants are also arriving from Europe, and all sides spiral towards inevitable collision.
The screening will be followed by a discussion about the film. Joining us will be Palestine 36 co-producer Nils Astrand and Victor Kattan, Assistant Professor in Public International Law at the University of Nottingham School of Law and advisor to the ‘Britain Owes Palestine’ Campaign. It will be chaired by Nottingham Palestine Film Festival.
