Queen & Slim’s first date takes a violent turn when they’re stopped by a police officer on their way home. When a nationwide manhunt is launched for their arrest, the couple must try and find a way out of the country. As they make headline news, and the country divides over their fate, the couple becomes a reluctant symbol of trauma, grief and pain for the black community. INSECURE and LEMONADE director Melina Matsoukas and MASTER OF NONE writer Lena Waithe craft a powerful portrait of systemic racism in contemporary America.
