Red Joan

Adapted from Jennie Rooney’s best-selling novel and loosely inspired by the life of British KGB agent Melita Norwood, RED JOAN follows Joan Stanley, a seemingly demure retired scientist living in London who, in 2000, is arrested for providing intelligence to Russia during the Cold War. Through flashbacks, we revisit Joan’s story as a physics student falling in love with a young socialist, and who gradually becomes more and more politicised.
