Guy Maddin, Evan Johnson and Galen Johnson’s latest star-laden feature riffs on the inefficiency of political summits, deftly mixing genres to deliver a riotously hilarious satire.

During a G7 summit, world leaders are hard at work trying to draft a joint statement on the latest global crisis. Such is the intensity of their toil that they fail to notice signs of a potential apocalypse heading their way. Suddenly, alone in the woods, they must scramble to save humanity or, at the very minimum, themselves. With side-splitting gags, Rumours assures us that there is laughter at the end of the world.

The screening on Thu 12 Dec will be introduced by Melissa Gueneau from Mayhem Film Festival.
