Come and be a part of the premiere public showcase of ‘ShapeShifter’—an innovative gesture-based technology, designed to make activity fun for people of all ages.
This is a free event. No need to book – just turn up and take part.
Ever wanted to conduct your own orchestra, with audio and visuals? ShapeShifter uses gesture-based technology to enable you to create shapes and sounds simply by moving your body.
Collaboratively created with software developers from the University of Nottingham, ShapeShifter uses hand and body tracking via a webcam to generate dynamic sound, and draw real-time visualisations on a screen, to match people’s movements.
Experience ShapeShifter in our foyer space (next to Broadway's Café Bar entrance) and our Studio (located on Broadway's lower ground floor) from 1.30–3pm on Thursday 20th February 2025.
