Soon after, the girls are whisked away on a magical adventure aboard a ‘cat bus’. Cited by Akira Kurosawa as one of his favourite Japanese films, Miyazaki’s wondrous fantasies introduced the world to the iconic and loveable Totoro, which became the logo of Studio Ghibli. – BFI
