Café Bar Supervisor (Sep 2026)

Hours: 40 hours per week, to be worked flexibly over 5 days, Monday to Sunday, including weekend and evening work

Rate of pay: £13.93 per hour

We're looking for a Café Bar Supervisor to join our team of Café Bar Supervisors and support the General Manager in leading our popular Café Bar and catering function. You will play a key role in providing excellent customer care, leading shifts effectively and developing a motivated, confident and high-performing team.

You will be an experienced bar or restaurant supervisor, or have comparable experience in a customer service setting such as retail or the night-time economy, with proven experience of leading and managing a staff team.

You will confidently take day-to-day responsibility for a shift, including allocating work, delegating effectively, setting standards, supporting and coaching colleagues, and dealing appropriately with performance or team issues. You will enjoy working with people and be enthusiastic about developing and motivating others.

You will also be competent in the use of an EPOS system, or similar, with knowledge of relevant health & safety requirements and licensing laws.

Supporting the General Manager in running the operation efficiently and profitably, you will pro-actively lead café bar shifts, providing visible and motivational leadership to the café bar team. You will help create a supportive and inclusive working environment, ensuring that staff understand their responsibilities, receive appropriate guidance and feedback, and consistently deliver excellent customer service.

You will share responsibility for opening and closing the building and for cashing up.
