Hosted by The Black People's Film Club, at Broadway Cinema
We are pleased to invite you to our Reflection and Reasoning session: Barrel Children Follow-Up.
On Friday 6 October, The Black People's Film Club asked Broadway Cinema to host a screening of the powerful documentary Barrel Children: The Families Windrush Left Behind. The film provided an insight into stories that are rarely heard, bringing our Black community together in a way that deeply resonated with us.
The experience evoked emotions and highlighted perspectives that deserve further exploration. To continue this important dialogue, we invite you to join us for a Reasoning Session. This is an opportunity for our community to come together once again, share our thoughts, and be seen and heard in a supportive environment.
Your voice matters, so let's build on the connections we made during the film screening. With the support of Notts Counselling Service and Broadway Cinema, we can delve deeper into the stories that matter to us.
Spaces are limited to 30 attendees, so our aim is to prioritise individuals who saw the film and who would benefit from the opportunity to share and engage in supportive conversations.
We look forward to reconnecting and fostering a space for shared understanding.

Please note, this event is aimed at audience members who attended screenings of Barrel Children: The Families Windrush Left Behind in October and were particularly affected by the themes explored in the film, and who would most benefit from an opportunity to discuss these further.
