All Women Are Equal: A Trans Film Double-Bill

This screening is taking place as part of Nottingham Pride 2026 – Presented by Nottingham Nourishment Network (CIC) and Notts Queer History Archive

 Join us for a double-bill of short films and discussion celebrating trans histories and resilience. The event is centred around All Women are Equal, a newly unearthed archive short from 1972, which includes extraordinary footage of Paula, a trans woman from Nottingham, offering a rare glimpse into local trans life at the time. 

Playing alongside it is Happy Birthday, Marsha!, a vibrant short that reimagines the hours before the Stonewall uprising.
