Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal star as Agnes and William Shakespeare in this highly anticipated Oscar contender, based on the award-winning novel by Maggie O’Farrell and directed by Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao (Nomadland, The Rider).

1580s England. Impoverished Latin tutor William meets free spirit Agnes, and they begin a passionate affair that leads to marriage and three children. As Will’s theatre career takes off in London, Agnes anchors the family’s domestic world alone. When tragedy strikes the family, the couple’s bond faces a bitter test, but the crucible of their shared suffering sets the stage for the creation of Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece, Hamlet.

This is a Parent & Baby screening, one of our monthly baby-friendly screenings for parents and carers with babies. 

We'll keep the lights on at a low level so you can easily see the space around you, the volume will be slightly lower than usual for you and your baby's comfort and the film will be presented with captions (subject to availability). We also save plenty of space near to the screen for you to park your pushchair.
