Perhaps best known for her Ripley series - including the acclaimed and oft-adapted The Talented Mr Ripley - Patricia Highsmith was a complex and often controversial writer, responsible for classics across the decades, from Hitchcock’s Strangers on a Train to Todd Haynes’ Carol.
Her contributions to literature were immense, her reputation deeply complicated and her impact on cinema, particularly in the realm of suspense, underreported. This course aims to dig a little deeper and uncover at last the Talented Ms Highsmith.
